Browns’ Njoku has his agent demand trade

Agent Drew Rosenhaus reportedly has asked the Cleveland Browns to trade tight end and former first-round draft pick David Njoku.

His future in Cleveland came into question when the Browns signed two-time Pro Bowler Austin Hooper from the Atlanta Falcons in free agency.

Earlier this week, the NFL decided to shorten its preseason from four weeks to two. But the NFL’s players don’t think that move went far enough. An NFL Players Associatio­n source said the union’s board of player representa­tives voted to recommend scrapping all 2020 preseason games.

• New Orleans Pelicans assistant coach Jeff Bzdelik, 67, also will not accompany his team to Orlando. No decision has been made on 65-year-old head coach Alvin Gentry’s status heading into Orlando.

Manchester City winger Leroy Sane has completed his move to Bayern Munich. Sane signed a five-year contract with the German champions.

Baseball

Washington Wild Things tickets for Week 1 will go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday. Tickets will be sold on a per-game basis. There will be a designated over 55-yearold senior section.
