Pa., Allegheny County report no new COVID- 19 deaths

Pennsylvan­ia reported 691 new cases of COVID- 19 on Sunday and no new deaths, according to the state health department.

In Western Pennsylvan­ia, 150 new cases were reported. Allegheny County had the highest number reported with 62 new cases. Westmorela­nd County reported 20 new cases. Mercer County reported 15.

Allegheny County’s latest single- day count resulted from 771 tests. The county did not report any new deaths, as its total holds at 349.

Of Sunday’s cases, which come from tests taken between Aug. 25 and Sept. 5, 59 were confirmed and three were probable.

Ages of those testing positive in the past 24 hours range from 4 to 97, with a median age of 45.

With the new data, Allegheny County has seen a total of 10,771 cases of COVID19, 1,029 hospitaliz­ations and 349 deaths since the county’s first case was reported on March 14.

Pennsylvan­ia has reported a total of 139,316 cases and 7,760 deaths.
