Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

AG endorsement

-

The Oct. 11 editorial “Heidelbaugh for AG” was unfortunate. It demonstrates one of many poor decisions by the owners and editors of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

After praising Josh Shapiro for the major accomplishments during his tenure as AG, they then turned around and prophesied that he will probably run for some higher office (Senate or governor). I must congratulate the editors for their ability to see into the future.

Mr. Shapiro has not only shown superior knowledge of the law but has exhibited many favorable personal attributes such as empathy, sympathy, wisdom and fairness. Should more “politicians” exhibit these traits, our society might be in a better place now.

The cold hard laws must be tempered with humanism as Mr. Shapiro has demonstrated.
