Jax (Priscilla Quintana) and her team visit the remote planet where Professor Osborn (Noah Huntley) first found her as an infant during the Earth-Zatarian War in the new episode “Gates of Eden.” The expedition hopes to find the Ancients and persuade them to save the universe, but Ralen (Ben Radcliffe) suffers a loss that will change him forever.

As the past finally catches up with Syd and McKenna (Gabrielle Union, Jessica Alba), they’re forced to pull off a seemingly impossible mission, while also leaving behind no trace of their own involvemen­t, in the new episode “Deja Vu.”

When her colleague and friend Harlan (guest star Leonardo Nam) comes down with the “green flu,” Abby (Crystal Reed) turns Alec’s (Andy Bean) lab upside down looking for a cure in the new episode “He Speaks.” Instead, she finds the latest supernatur­al reanimatio­n from the Rot.

WEDNESDAY 9:30 p.m. on WTAE black-ish

Season 7 of this acclaimed family sitcom officially gets underway with “Hero Pizza,” which takes the characters back to the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. As a first responder, Bow (Tracee Ellis Ross) gets warm praise and support from her family for her selfless work — at least, at first. As the crisis drags on, though, enthusiasm among the other Johnsons wanes, until someone violates quarantine lockdown rules.

As they search a labyrinth for an ancient relic, Talon, Wren, Janzo and Yavalla (Jessica Green, Izuku Hoyle, Anand Desai-Barochia, Jaye Griffiths) are forced into a desperate fight for their lives.

9 p.m. on WPCW World’s Funniest Animals Host Elizabeth Stanton, along with her panelists and guests, observe a fresh batch of clips featuring animals caught in unusual and amusing acts in this new episode. A deer that crashes into a diner is among the highlights.

Movie: Christmas Unwrapped Charity, an ambitious yet unsentimen­tal reporter, learns the true meaning of Christmas when she dives into an investigat­ion of a beloved local celebrity: Erik Gallagher, a millionair­e who insists that all the gifts that arrive for members of the community each Christmas really come from none other than Santa Claus himself.
