LAST WEEK: 9-5 (.643)

SEASON RECORD: 55-22 (.714)

-

Atlanta Falcons (0-5) at Minnesota Vikings (1-4): 1 p.m. … Poor Dan Quinn and the Falcons. They never really recovered from blowing that 28-3 lead in Super Bowl 51. Yeah, they went to the playoffs the following year, but since that loss to the Patriots, they are 24-29. And Quinn is out. Skol! Prediction: Vikings, 31-19

Denver Broncos (1-3) at New England Patriots (2-2): 1 p.m. … Because this game is being played a week later than originally scheduled does not mean the prediction has changed. I will keep with what I predicted a week ago … Prediction: Patriots, 22-13

Washington Football Team (1-4) at New York Giants (0-5): 1 p.m. … Say this for the Giants: They managed to score almost as many points last week (34) as they did in the first four games of the season (47). The only good thing about Washington is seeing Alex Smith return. Prediction: Giants, 24-17

Houston Texans (1-4) at Tennessee Titans (4-0): 1 p.m. … After winning their first three by a total of six points, the Titans left little doubt in a 42-16 win vs. the Bills that they were as good as their record. By the way, do you know how to stop a 6-3, 250-pound running back? Neither does Josh Norman. Prediction: Titans, 38-20

New York Jets (0-5) at Miami Dolphins (2-3): 4:05 p.m. … Look, Adam Gase never wanted Le’Veon Bell to begin with, so releasing him should not come as a surprise. And do not feel bad for Bell (not that anyone does). The Jets still owe him $8.5M. Meanwhile, the Dolphins aren’t bad. Prediction: Dolphins, 28-16

Green Bay Packers (4-0) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-3): 4:25 p.m. … Someone better tell Tom Brady what time this game starts. He might think it’s 3:25. After that embarrassing ending on national TV, Brady will try to outscore the Packers. Don’t know if that’s possible. Prediction: Packers, 34-30

L.A. Rams (4-1) at San Francisco 49ers (2-3): 8:20 p.m. … After back-to-back wins in New York by a combined 67-22, the 49ers have reversed script in backto-back losses. The Rams aren’t in first in the NFC West, but they would be in the East after already beating every team in that division. Prediction: 49ers, 28-27

Kansas City Chiefs (4-1) at Buffalo Bills (4-1), 5 p.m. Monday … The Bills defense took a blow the size of Lake Erie from Derrick Henry and the Titans. Now, they have to regroup against the Chiefs, who might be stinging from an upset loss to the Raiders. Prediction: Chiefs, 38-34

Arizona Cardinals (3-2) at Dallas Cowboys (2-3), 8:15 p.m. Monday … The Cowboys needed two FGs in the final 2 minutes vs. the winless Giants. More worrisome is the defense, which is allowing nearly 40 ppg in their past four. In Dallas, Big D stands for big disappointment. Or Andy Dalton. Prediction: Cowboys, 42-40

Of note: Off weeks continue this weekend with the Las Vegas Raiders, New Orleans Saint, Los Angeles Chargers and Seattle Seahawks idle. The Steelers’ off week had been scheduled for Week 7. Instead, they now will make up their game against Tennessee in Nashville, Tenn., Oct. 25.
