Highlights from major construction projects around Pittsburgh and surrounding areas this week

1. Second Avenue/Pittsburgh: Lane restriction outbound between Hot Metal Street and Blair River Road through Jan. 15.

2.. Mt. Troy Road/Reserve: Closed between Fornof Lane and Lonsdale Street starting 9 a.m. Dec. 28 until sometime in March. Also, the northbound lane on part of the 3200 block of Mt. Troy Road will close that day. Port Authority of Allegheny County’s 4-Troy Hill bus route will be detoured using Spring Garden Road, Wicklines Lane and Rialto Street. Additionally, 37 stops on the route will be temporarily discontinued.

3. Saxonburg Road/ Fawn, Harrison: Closed indefinitely in both directions between Route 908 and

Freeport Road. Local traffic permitted.

4. Foster Road/White Oak: Closed for slide repair work through Thursday.

5. East Carson Street/ Pittsburgh: Single-lane restrictions between South 10th and South 14th streets for continuing improvements, weekdays through late January.

6. Northern Pike/Monroeville: Closed to traffic between Abers Creek Road and Valerie Circle. Detours posted.

7. Noblestown Road/Oakdale Borough: Closed between Hill Road and Gregg

Station Road until further notice. Detour posted.

8. Dooker’s Hollow Bridge/North Braddock/ East Pittsburgh: Closed until December 2021 for replacement.

9. Kittanning Street/ Etna: Closed between Snyder Street and Greismere Street through Wednesday.

10. O’Connell Boulevard/ North Braddock: Closed under Dooker’s Hollow Bridge through at least January.

11. Jerome Street Bridge/McKeesport: Single lane in each direction between Romine Avenue and Gibson Way through late March.

12. Route 28/Pittsburgh: Work is scheduled at various locations through early spring.

13. Way Hollow Road/

Edgeworth, Sewickley Heights: Closed to traffic indefinitely between Woodland and Backbone roads.

14. Bates Street/Pittsburgh: Single-lane restriction between Hodge Street and Second Avenue 9 a.m.-3 p.m. through late December.

15. Sixth Avenue/Rankin: Closed between Kenmawr Avenue and Duquesne Way through late summer.

16. Route 136/Elizabeth: Long-term closure between Route 51 in Forward and Long Hollow Road.

17. East Elfinwild Road/ Shaler: Closed near intersection with Route 8 through December.

18. Route 48 (Boston Hollow Road)/Elizabeth, Lincoln: Closed near Finney Road through late December.
