Blue Devils outrun Oakland Catholic

-

Mt. Lebanon, Quaker Valley and Chartiers Valley girls all won Monday.

Mt. Lebanon will suit up for basketball games, as long as their opponent masks up.

The Blue Devils are not playing schools that do not wear masks, which Class 6A Section 2 rival Bethel Park does not. Those two teams initially were scheduled to play Monday night, but the Blue Devils instead took on another perennial playoff contender in 5A, Oakland Catholic.

Behind a game-high 18 points from Ashleigh Connor, the Blue Devils (2-0) picked up a 55-44 victory. Reagan Murdoch contributed 13 points and Morgan Palmer 12.

Halena Hill converted three 3-pointers and finished with 15 points for the Eagles (2-1).
