Time to nominate Top Workplaces
Brought the employees back to the office yet? If not, you might not be having those casual conversations that keep you informed on how they’re doing. Or maybe your workplace never had the option of working remotely, but you want to know how the employees think you are handling the situation.
Taking the pulse of your workforce is key to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s annual Top Workplaces program. Employees are able to anonymously respond to questions on how your company is managed, how good the benefits are and if they would recommend working there to other people.
Energage, the Post-Gazette’s research partner on this project for the past 11 years, has begun polling the staff of organizations in the Pittsburgh region that have been nominated for the 2021 program. Last year, more than 15,000 employees in Western Pennsylvania were surveyed for the program.
Participation is free, and anyone can fill out the nomination form. Any organization with 50 or more employees in the greater Pittsburgh area is eligible — including public and private companies, nonprofits and government entities.
Polling will continue into April. The process involves giving employees a 24-question survey. Not all companies who participate will earn the designation as a Top Workplace, but all will receive feedback from the surveys.
Those named as Top Workplaces will be featured in a special Post-Gazette editorial section and honored at an event later in the year.
The deadline to nominate a company is March 26.
