Pirates capacity at 25%

- From local and wire dispatches

Despite Governor Tom Wolf’s updated COVID-19 regulations that theoretically allow for 50% of capacity at outdoor venues, the Pirates will stick with 25% for the first two homestands of the season at PNC Park, the club announced Monday.

All remaining tickets for those games will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Tickets can be purchased online at Pirates.com/tickets or over the phone by calling 1800-289-2827.

The first two homestands of the season include four series — three against the Cubs from April 8- 11 and four against the Padres from April 12-15. They finish April with a two-game set against the Royals (April 27-28) and roll into May with three games against the Cardinals (April 30May 2).

It’s the same allotment of tickets the Pirates originally planned to sell, although they delayed last week’s general sale after Wolf updated Pennsylvania’s COVID-19 rules.

Tickets are being made available in two- and fourperson pods, with ”very limited single-seat availability.” Seating arrangements include at least 6 feet in space in all directions, per MLB’s health and safety protocols.
