Rhodes firm to merge with global advisory company

The Rhodes Group, a constructi­on consulting firm with offices in Pittsburgh and Houston, will be acquired by Washington, D.C.-based FTI Consulting Inc., according to an agreement the companies announced Monday.

The deal is expected to close during the second quarter of 2020. Terms of the transactio­n were not disclosed.

The Rhodes Group will add about 40 billable profession­als to the constructi­on and environmen­tal solutions practice within FTI Consulting’s forensic and litigation consulting segment.

FTI is a global business advisory firm with 6,300 employees in 26 countries. The company generated $2.46 billion in revenue in 2020.

The Rhodes Group, founded in 1999, focuses on the power, oil and gas, industrial, infrastruc­ture and commercial building sectors.

Andrew Rhodes, founder and president of The Rhodes Group, will join FTI Consulting as a senior managing director.
