New York Yankees first baseman Anthony Rizzo has tested positive for COVID-19, manager Aaron Boone announced.

Boone said Rizzo, who turned 32 Sunday, is experiencing some symptoms but “is doing all right.” Rizzo was placed on the COVID-19related injured list.

Rizzo tested positive after Saturday’s game, in which he went 0 for 4 in the Yankees’ 5-4 victory against Seattle.

Rizzo joins catcher Gary Sanchez and starting pitchers Gerrit Cole and Jordan Montgomery as Yankees players to test positive for the virus.

Cole tested positive Monday, Montgomery tested positive Tuesday and Sanchez was placed on the COVID-19 list Thursday.
