OUR QUESTIONS, HIS ANSWERS

-

Did you think the offers and accolades would come so early in your career? Not at all. I honestly didn’t. I thought it was going to be later on in my high school career. Not my freshman year. It was definitely a surprise.

Do you have any personal goals this season? My goal is to rush for around 2,000 yards or something like that.

H ow would you describe your role on offense? I have a lot of different roles. Receiver, tailback. I honestly play everywhere on the offensive end. My role is to get the job done.

Who’s faster: You or Devin Whitlock? [Laughs] We haven’t raced yet. We need to get that down. It’s definitely up in the air.

Team not on your schedule that you wish you would play? Brashear. I play for a 7-on-7 team, Evolve. There’s a lot of players on that team that play for Brashear. And you know how they do. They talk a lot of smack, talking about how they would beat us.

Player on another team you wish was on your team? Either [Laurel Highlands’] Rodney Gallagher or [Brashear’s] Ta’Mere Robinson.

More of a thrill: Throwing down a big dunk or scoring a touchdown? Probably getting a big dunk in a game. The atmosphere at a basketball game is amazing. It’s just something different.

You play on a football field nicknamed “The Beach.” Do you like the actual beach? Oh yeah, of course.

You have a craving for fast food. Where are you going and what are you ordering? Probably going to McDonald’s and ordering two or three McChickens.
