Bengals QB Burrow vows he will play despite finger injury

Bengals quarterbac­k Joe Burrow said he doesn’t anticipate a finger injury to force him to miss any playing time.

Burrow said he dislocated his right pinkie in Sunday’s 41-22 loss to the Chargers. Burrow said the injury occurred on a sack on the team’s first drive of the game.

Texans

After the Texans’ 31-0 loss to Indianapol­is, head coach David Culley said Tyrod Taylor isn’t necessaril­y the team’s starting quarterbac­k when healthy. “When you don’t score any points during a game, you evaluate everything,” Culley said.

Receiver Justin Jefferson joined Odell Beckham Jr. and Randy Moss as the only players with 2,500 or more receiving yards in their first two seasons during in the Super Bowl era.

Seahawks

Adrian Peterson has moved into a tie with Jim Brown for 10th al -time in total career touchdowns. Peterson’s 1- yard touchdown run in the second quarter against San Francisco gave him 126 for his career, tying him with the Hall of Famer. Peterson now has 120 rushing touchdowns and six receiving in his 15 seasons. Brown had 106 touchdown runs and 20 touchdown receptions during his nine-year career.

It was another rough day for kickers. Before the Sunday night matchup between the Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs, place-kickers had already combined to miss seven extra points.
