Trout harvest is limited to three combined species daily with a 7-inch minimum from Jan. 1 to Feb. 20 under extended season regulation­s. A trout permit is required in rivers and streams included in the Stocked Trout Waters Open to YearRound Fishing program. On lakes and ponds included in the program, a trout permit is not required unless the angler takes, kills or possesses a trout.

Lake Erie and tributarie­s

(Erie County): In the streams, film ice stretched across slow pools, while frozen chunks flowed through fishable fast water. Ice was beginning to form on Presque Isle Bay. Streams were high but dropping Thursday. Snow flurries were expected Friday, cloudy and a drop to 16 degrees Saturday and sunshine and 34 degrees Sunday.

Woodcock Creek, Lake (Crawford County): Typical bass, walleye and panfish catches in the lake, but good size walleye and muskie catches were reported downstream within about 100 yards of the outflow.

Allegheny River (Forest County): Boaters putting in at the sand and gravel launch reported catches of muskellung­e, Northern pike and walleye.

Tionesta Lake, outflow (Forest County): In open water on the lake, muskies went for lures trolled offshore. Below the dam, muskies, walleye and perch were caught off the wall.

Raccoon Lake (Beaver County): Part of the Stocked Trout Waters Open to YearRound Fishing program.

Bradys Run Lake (Beaver County): Trout were taken on minnow-tipped jigs. Stocked Trout Waters Open to YearRound Fishing regulation­s apply.

North Park Lake (Allegheny County): On warmish days since the Dec. 14 stocking, good trout fishing was reported. The lake is enrolled in the Stocked Trout Waters Open to Year-Round Fishing program.

Twin Lakes (Westmorela­nd County): Stephen Warmerly of Youngwood caught three rainbow trout on jigs tipped with minnows Monday.

Keystone, Northmorel­and lakes (Westmorela­nd County): Regulated under the Stocked Trout Waters Open to Year-Round Fishing program.

Loyalhanna Creek (Westmorela­nd County): Waters that crested at 7 feet at Kingston Dam Sunday were slightly high and still dropping Thursday.

Canonsburg Lake (Washington County): Managed for Stocked Trout Waters Open to Year-Round Fishing.
