Robert Morris cruises by IUPUI behind Spear’s double-double

Kahliel Spear scored 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Robert Morris to a 66-49 win over IUPUI Saturday in Indianapol­is. Enoch Cheeks added 14 points and eight rebounds for Robert Morris (6-17, 4-10 Horizon League), which snapped a four-game road losing streak. B.J. Maxwell had 16 points for the Jaguars (1-19, 0-10), who have lost 14 games in a row. Boston Stanton III added 10 points. Chuks Isitua had 12 rebounds.

Other men’s games

Wisconsin 51, Penn State 49: Tyler Wahl made a tiebreakin­g layup with 30.5 seconds left for host No. 11 Wisconsin (18-4, 9-3 Big Ten). Myles Dread’s layup with 51 seconds remaining capped a 9-0 run to tie the score for Penn State (9-10, 4-7). Wisconsin won despite getting little production from All-America candidate Johnny Davis, who shot 2 of 13 and scored just four points. Sam Sessoms scored 14 to lead the Nittany Lions.

VCU 71, Duquesne 62: The Dukes (6-14, 1-7 Atlantic 10) lost their seventh game in a row. Tre Williams had a seasonhigh 19 points for Duquesne. Hason Ward had 13 points and 10 rebounds to lead VCU (14-7, 7-3), which broke the game open with an 11-0 run in the second half.

Women’s games

Oklahoma 101, West Virginia 99: Madi Williams drove to the hoop and scored with nine seconds left in the second overtime for host No. 18 Oklahoma (20-3, 9-2 Big 12). Ari Gray scored a career-high 25 points for the Mountainee­rs (11-9, 4-6).

Fordham 59, Duquesne 52: Visiting Fordham scored the final 11 points of the game to spoil the Dukes’ upset bid. Fatou Pouye led Duquesne (913, 4-6 Atlantic 10) with 21 points. Libby Bazelek added 11 points. Asiah Dingle had game-highs of 24 points and eight rebounds for the Rams (16-5, 7-2).

Green Bay 57, Robert Morris 41: After the Colonials’ Nina Augustin opened the game with a 3-pointer, Green Bay went on a 25-0 run and opened a lead that Robert Morris couldn’t overcome. Augustin paced the Colonials (812, 6-9 Horizon League) with 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting from 3-point range. Hailey Oskey led the Phoenix (12-5, 8-3) with 10 points.
