Highlights from major construction projects around Pittsburgh and surrounding areas this week
1. Saxonburg Road/Fawn, Harrison: Closed indefinitely between Route 908 and Freeport Road.
2. East Carson Street/Pittsburgh: Single-lane restrictions in both directions at various locations between the Smithfield Street Bridge and 33rd Street, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. through May.
3. Noblestown Road/Oakdale, Pittsburgh: Closed between Hill and Gregg Station roads until further notice.
4. Way Hollow Road/Edgeworth, Sewickley Heights: Closed indefinitely between Woodland and Backbone roads.
5. Route 136/Elizabeth: Longterm closure between Route 51 in Forward and Long Hollow Road.
6. Fifth and Forbes corridor/ Pittsburgh: Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority working on the Forbes and Fifth Water Main Replacement Project. Work to continue until spring. Traffic disruptions throughout the area.
7. Fallowfield Avenue/Pittsburgh: Closed through April from Hampshire Avenue to Broadway Avenue in Beechview for slope work.
8. Jones Avenue/Wilkins and Turtle Creek: Work to replace
13. Mayview Road/South Fayette: Closed until further notice between Chartiers Creek and Hastings Crescent for slide cleanup. Detour posted.

routes 8 and 30 between Brinton and bicycle traffic beginning at 6 a.m. Feb. 14 for complete rehabilitation. Work to continue until December 2023. Outbound traffic will be detoured using Fort Duquesne
Road in Wilkinsburg and Yost Boulevard Boulevard, the Andy Warhol (Seventh Street) Bridge, Sandusky Street, East Lacock Street, and Federal Street. Inbound vehicle traffic will be detoured using East General in Forest Hills that will conclude Robinson Street, Sandusky Street, the Andy Warhol Bridge, and Fort Duquesne Boulevard.

19. Bridge over Saw Mill Run Boulevard/Pittsburgh: Port Authority bridge that carries
10. Nike Site Road/Collier: the South Busway over Saw Mill Run Boulevard in Mt. Washington closed indefinitely after engineers discovered that a portion of the bridge had shifted. Red Line rail cars
Rehabilitation work on the bridge between will detour via the Blue/Silver Line from Overbrook Junction to Downtown. A rail shuttle will operate between Overbrook Junction to Potomac Station. Bus shuttles will operate Noblestown Road and Gregg between Potomac Station and Station Square.
Station Road will continue into 2022 because of problems discovered after the bridge deck was removed. Detours posted.
11. West Liberty Avenue/Dormont: Traffic shifts, lane restrictions between Biltmore and Tennessee avenues, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through early April, for gas line replacement.
12. Route 50/Bridgeville and South Fayette: Lane closures from from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. weeknights in each direction between James Street in Bridgeville and Millers Run Road in South Fayette through late 2022. Crews will widen the bridge over Chartiers Creek to seven lanes. Additionally, an exclusive lane from southbound Washington Pike to northbound I-79 will be constructed, widening work will occur on the northbound I-79 on-ramp, and Chartiers Street will be widened to include a turning lane.
