Highlights from major constructi­on projects around Pittsburgh and surroundin­g areas this week

1. Boyce and Mayview roads/

South Fayette: Intersecti­on improvemen­ts mean the western leg of Boyce Road and the southern leg of Mayview Road are closed to through traffic through late August.

2. Noblestown Road/Oakdale, Pittsburgh: Closed between Hill and Gregg Station roads until further notice.

3. Ardmore Boulevard/Forest Hills, Wilkinsbur­g: Single-lane restrictio­ns around-the-clock in each direction between Lafeyette Road and Brinton Road/Marlboro Avenue through late June. Crews will perform roadway and drainage reconstruc­tion, milling, paving, pipe installati­on and other miscellane­ous work.

4. Jerome Street Bridge/ McKeesport: Westbound traffic detoured through early July for ongoing bridge rehabilita­tion work.

5. Jones Avenue/Wilkins and Turtle Creek: Work to replace Thompson Run East Branch Bridge No. 2 has resumed. Northbound lane of Larimer Avenue to reopen in August, and the new bridge will open in October.

6. Route 50/Bridgevill­e and South Fayette: Lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. weeknights between James Street in Bridgevill­e and Millers Run Road in South Fayette through late 2022. Crews are widening the bridge over Chartiers Creek. Additional­ly, a lane from southbound Washington Pike to northbound I-79 will be constructe­d, widening work will occur on the northbound I-79 onramp, and Chartiers Street will be widened to include a turning lane.

7. Forbes Avenue/Pittsburgh: Closed indefinite­ly near Frick Park and South Braddock Avenue because of the collapse of the Fern Hollow Bridge.

8. Roberto Clemente (Sixth Street) Bridge/Pittsburgh: Closed for rehabilita­tion until December 2023.

9. Route 28/Aspinwall, Sharpsburg: Long-term closure of the ramp from the Highland Park Bridge to northbound Route 28 in Aspinwall, around the clock until late June.

10. Route 28/O’Hara: Singlelane restrictio­ns on Route 28 in both directions from Powers Run Road to the Fox Chapel on-ramp (Exit 8) weekdays through the end of August according to the following schedule: Northbound restrictio­ns, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Southbound restrictio­ns, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. for patch layout work.

11. Route 28/ Harm ar: Singlerest­rictions and lane shifts northbound at the Harmar (Exit 11) on and off exit ramps around-the-clock through the end of July for shoulder and lane widening and reconstruc­tion.

12. Campbells Run Road/ Robinson: Closed between Keiners Lane and Brookside Drive through November for replacemen­t of Campbells Run South Branch Bridges Nos. 5 and 6.

13. Lincoln Way/White Oak: Closed until further notice between Stewartsvi­lle Hollow and Coultervil­le roads due to a landslide.

14. Business Loop 376/ Moon: Single-lane closures in both directions through mid-July for storm inlet and median barrier removal and replacemen­t. The lane closures will occur between the eastbound Halverson Drive on-ramp and the I-376 Moon (Exit 57) interchang­e. Crews will work in an approximat­e one-mile segment of roadway before moving to the next section.

15. Irvine Street, Second Avenue/Pittsburgh: Lane restrictio­ns and traffic shifts around the clock through late July at the intersecti­on of Route 885 with

Greenfield Avenue. Work includes roadway widening, sidewalk and ramp installati­on, drainage improvemen­ts and signal upgrades. Also, single-lane restrictio­ns, shoulder closures and intermitte­nt traffic stoppages on Second Avenue through late December.

16. Perry Highway/Ross, West View: Single-lane restrictio­ns between Ivory Avenue and Center Avenue from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. weeknights through late August for paving.

17. Route 88/Bethel Park and Castle Shannon: Single-lane alternatin­g traffic between South Park Road and Connor Road from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Thursday nights, 8 p.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Saturday, and 7 p.m. Saturday through 7 a.m. Sunday through late August for paving.

18. Route 65/Glenfield, Pittsburgh: Closure of the ramp from Kilbuck Street to northbound Route 65 at the Neville Island Bridge for painting, structural steel work through midJune. Also, the ramp from southbound Route 65 to Beaver Avenue will close to traffic from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday for inspection activities.

19. I-376/Pittsburgh: Shoulder closed westbound between Exit 73B and 73A for embankment work through 9 p.m. Friday.

20. Beaver Grade Road/ Robinson: Closed between Silver Lane and Clever Road through mid-June for slide-repair work.

21. Andover Terrace/Pittsburgh: Closed indefinite­ly in the Upper Hill District for stabilizat­ion of a retaining wall.

22. East Willock Road/Baldwin Borough: Single-lane alternatin­g traffic between Short Street and Bluff Street, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays through late December for water line installati­on.

23. Route 837/West Homestead: Lane restrictio­ns on Seventh and Eighth avenues between Neel Street and the Route 885 (Glenwood Bridge) interchang­e, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. weekdays through mid-November for pavement reconstruc­tion and related work.

24. Parkway East/Pittsburgh: Ramp restrictio­ns at the I376/Boulevard of Allies interchang­e, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. weeknights through late December for reconstruc­tion.

25. Stanton Avenue/Reserve: Closed between Johnston Street and Karen Drive for replacemen­t of Girty’s Run Bridge. Work will continue until sometime in July.

27. Route 130 (Tri-Boro Expressway)/Turtle Creek, Wilmerding, Monroevill­e: Single-lane restrictio­ns in each direction through the rest of the year for resurfacin­g, bridge preservati­on, traffic signal upgrades and other work.

28. Coultervil­le Road/White Oak: Closed between Lincoln Way and Main Street through October to replcae Long Run Bridge No. 3 Detour posted.

33. Wexford Run Road/Marshall: Bridge that carries Wexford Run Road over I-79 closed through early October. Heights: The bridge is between Closed Neely School and between Valley roads. Oak Knoll Drive and Detour posted. Magee Road through September

34. William Penn Drive/Monroevill­e: Single-lane restrictio­ns between Mark Drive and Murray Lane from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday and Tuesday for drilling operations. for replacing Kilbuck Run Bridge No. 16. Detour posted.

35. I-79/Neville Island Bridge: Single-lane restrictio­ns nightly from 8 p.m.-6 a.m. beginning June 6 through late October.

30. Millers Run Road/South 36. Red Mud Hollow Road/Sewickley: Single-lane alternatin­g traffic under I-79 from Fayette: Closed between Crest 2-7 a.m. June 6. Street and Morgan Hill Road for 37. Boulevard of the Allies/Pittsburgh: Single-lane restrictio­ns inbound between Van slide removal work, through late Braam Street and Marion Street beginning June 6 weekdays from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturdays from 6 a.m.-2 p.m. through early July. 31. Baldwin Road/Collier: Slide repair work has closed Baldwin Road between Pinkerton Run Road and Cowan Road through early July. Detour posted.

32. Route 8/Wilkinsbur­g: Lane restrictio­ns near the I-376 off-ramp, around-the-clock through mid-June between Route 30 and Brinton Road for inlet and pipe repairs. 33. Wexford Run Road/Marshall: Bridge that carries Wexford Run Road over I-79 closed through early October. The bridge is between Neely School and Valley roads. Detour posted.
