“The Contractor”: Chris Pine stars as a discharged veteran struggling to provide for his family who takes a private security gig in Germany, where he shortly finds himself on the run from a shadowy company.

“9 Bullets”: Lena Headey plays a former burlesque dancer who must protect a neighbor boy after he witnesses the murder of his parents in this thriller that also stars Dean Scott Vazquez and Sam Worthingto­n.

“Catch the Fair One”: Kali “K.O. Mequinanoa­g” Reis, boxing’s first Indigenous American female world champ, makes her acting debut in this film about a former champion boxer who embarks on a search for her missing sister.

“Compartmen­t No. 6”: Two strangers on a train bound for the Arctic Circle make a connection in this drama, which was Finland’s Oscar submission at this year’s Academy Awards.

“Jurassic World Dominion”: Now that dinosaurs live alongside humans, it’s time to determine once and for all which species will be the apex predator going forward. Directed by Colin Trevorrow and starring Sam Neil, Laura Dern, Bryce Dallas Howard, Chris Pratt and Pittsburgh native Jeff Goldblum.

“Lovely Little Farm” (Friday, Apple TV+): Kids and animals say the darndest things in this new live-action/animated series.

“Peaky Blinders” (Friday, Netflix): The period drama about an Irish crime family returns for its final season. With Cillian Murphy.

TIME100: The World’s Most Influentia­l People (8 p.m. Sunday, WTAE): One-hour special takes viewers inside the exclusive TIME100 Gala with host Simu Liu.

“Dark Winds” (9 p.m. Sunday, AMC): New thriller series is set in 1971 on a remote outpost of the Navajo Nation near Monument Valley, Utah, where Lt. Joe Leaphorn of the Tribal Police struggles to stay on top of a series of seemingly unrelated crimes.

“Becoming Elizabeth” (9:04 p.m. Sunday, STARZ): This new historical drama series chronicles the previously untold story of one of England’s most iconic monarchs: Elizabeth I, whom we meet as a teenager.
