Concerts feature Underwood, Silversun Pickups and Michael Jackson’s daughter
ACarrie Underwood concert is always good news. It gets even better when the week’s lineup also includes Silversun Pickups with Paris Jackson, American Authors and Paul Luc.

American Authors (Thunderbird Music Hall): The Boston pop-rock trio that formed at Berklee College of Music and broke out in 2013 with “Best Day of

Songwriter Showcase (Jergels): It’s a gathering of Pittsburgh legends in Marshall with this showcase featuring Joe Grushecky (Houserockers) and Rick Witkowski (Crack the Sky, B.E.. Silversun Pickups (Roxian): The altrock band, which broke out of LA in 2009 with a shoegaze sound comparable to Smashing Pumpkins and My Bloody Valentine, hits McKees Rocks, touring behind “Physical Thrills,” a sixth album produced by Butch Vig.
Frontman Brian Aubert said upon its release: “This record is alive. It sits somewhere in between a collection of songs and an imaginary friend. A friend that from March of 2020 to April of 2021 would not only introduce itself to me but keep me company through that time of intense isolation.”
They are joined by Paris Jackson, the 24-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson. She released the debut album “Wilted” in 2020. 8 p.m. $30.50; ticketmaster.com.

Honky-Tonk Jukebox ( Bloomfield Liedertafel Singing Society): The first HTJ of 2023 finds host Jon Bindley and his minstrels joined by Billy Price, Melinda Colaizzi, Gibson Wertz-Musisko and more for an evening of classic country hits. It’s at 410 S Mathilda St., at 7 p. m. $ 20; eventbrite.com.

Carrie Underwood (PPG Paints Arena): The pop-country superstar, who came to fame during season 4 of “American Idol” in 2005, arrives at PPG Paints Arena on The Denim & Rhinestones Tour. It supports her ninth studio album of that name, which features the country hits “Ghost Story” and “Hate My Heart.”
Underwood, known for her splashy arena spectacles, is an eight- time Grammy winner and threetime ACM Entertainer. Jimmie Allen, who won the CMA and ACM awards new artist of the Year and new male artist of the Year, respectively, in 2021, opens the show at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $106; ticketmaster.com.
