McDavid adds 3 more points in win

Evander Kane recorded his second hat trick of the season and the Edmonton Oilers increased their hold on third place in the Pacific Division to three points over the Kraken with a 6-4 win in Seattle.

Kane capped the sixth three-goal game of his career by scoring on an odd-man rush with 9:40 remaining.

Almost overshadowing Kane, NHL scoring leader Connor McDavid had a goal and two assists, giving him 134 points for the season — the seventh-most points by any player in the past 30 years. McDavid scored his 58th goal of the season on a power play with 3:50 remaining.

Notes

San Jose Sharks goalie James Reimer declined to take part in pregame warmups Saturday night, saying the team’s decision to wear Pridethemed jerseys in support of the LGBTQ community runs counter to his religious beliefs. Reimer is the second NHL player to take that action this season. Reimer said in a statement that he made the decision based on his Christian beliefs, adding that he “always strived to treat everyone with respect” and that members of the LGBTQ community should be welcome in hockey.
