Macs on stunning hot start

Canon-McMillan wins 4th in a row

-

Canon-McMillan may not have been among the teams to look out for at the start of the season, but if the early going is any indication, the Big Macs might be one of the schools there when it counts at the end of the year,

Senior Nick Hilbert drove in the go-ahead run with a bases-loaded single in the top of the seventh before Lucas Dantry drove home an insurance run as Canon-McMillan (4-1, 2-0) won its fourth in a row, 5-2, against Mt. Lebanon (0-6, 0-2) in a Class 6A Section 2 game.

Last season, CanonMcMillan did not win its fourth game until May 2.

With the win, the Bog Macs clinched a win in the three-game season series with the Blue Devils. CanonMcMillan won the first of their three-game series, 9-4, on Monday.

They will wrap things up when they play each other again on Thursday.
