UConn clinches share of Big East title in win
Auriemma moves to second in all-time wins
Paige Bueckers scored 24 points, Aaliyah Edwards added 20 and No. 15 UConn beat No. 21 Creighton, 7353, on Monday afternoon to secure at least a share of the Big East regular- season championship and the top seed in the conference tournament.
Ashlynn Shade added 15 points and nine rebounds for the Huskies (23-5, 15-0), who gave coach Geno Auriemma win No. 1,203, moving him past former Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski and into second on the all-time wins list behind Stanford’s Tara VanDerveer (1,209).
Lauren Jensen had 20 points and Morgan Maly scored 16 for Creighton (214, 12-3), which saw its 11game winning streak snapped.

LSU 81, Texas A&M 58: Aneesah Morrow had 25 points and 15 rebounds, Flau’jae Johnson added 20 points, nine rebounds and six assists, and No. 13 LSU (224, 9-3 SEC) beat shorthanded Texas A&M (17-8, 5-7) to win its fourth straight game.
Illinois 86, Indiana 66: Makira Cook scored 22 points, Kendall Bostic had 12 points and 10 rebounds for her ninth double-double of the season and Illinois (13-12, 7-8 Big Ten) closed on a 15-3 run to beat No. 14 Indiana (21-4, 12-3) as the Illini prepare to face No. 4 Iowa on Sunday.
Notre Dame 70, Duke 62: Hannah Hidalgo scored 23 points, Maddy Westbeld had 14 points and nine rebounds and No. 19 Notre Dame (196, 9-5 ACC) beat Duke (16-9, 8-6) to rebound after a loss against No. 6 N.C. State this past Thursday.
Men’s Top 25
Houston 72, Iowa State 65: Jamal Shead had 26 points, Emanuel Sharp added 20 as No. 2 Houston (23-3, 10-3 Big 12) held off No. 6 Iowa State (20-6, 9-4) in a battle of AP top 10 teams. Keshon Gilbert had 17 points for the Cyclones. Houston now occupies first place in the Big 12.

UConn became the first unanimous No. 1 in The Associated Press men’s college basketball poll this season, while Washington State jumped into the rankings at No. 21 to end a 302-week drought stretching back to the 2007-08 season.
• Southern California, which has won six straight games, climbed three spots to No. 7 in The Associated Press women’s basketball poll while South Carolina remained a unanimous No. 1.
• No. 4 Arizona has extended coach Tommy Lloyd’s contract by five years through 2029. The deal announced is pending approval by the Arizona Board of Regents.
