“Elton John & Bernie Taupin: The Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song”: It’s hard to imagine a more in-tune pairing than singer Elton John and songwriter Bernie Taupin. Together, they’ve given the world songs like “Tiny Dancer,” “Rocket Man” and “Candle in the Wind.” Now, their work is honored by The Library of Congress. 9 p.m. (PBS)

“Wildcard Kitchen”: Chef Eric Adjepong invites Aarti Sequeira, Catherine McCord and Damaris Phillips to throw $5,000 of their own money into the pot for an after-hours card game where they must make the best French toast. 9 p.m. (Food Network)

“The Rookie”: Officer John Nolan (Nathan Fillion) may be far from a “rookie” at this point, but he’s got plenty of experience under his belt, and lots of advice to offer newbie Officer Juarez (Lisseth Chavez), as she attempts to solve the disappeara­nce of her sister. 9 p.m. (ABC) Wednesday “Survivor”: Fiji’s beautiful Mamanuca Islands are no match for the underhande­d and clever play of the remaining castaways. But with sunscreen at a premium and host Jeff Probst looking for some shade, the challenges are becoming too much to bare. Get it? 8 p.m. (CBS)

“NEXT at the Kennedy Center”: Indie icon Ben Folds brings a range of musicians and artists to the Kennedy Center to reimagine their music with the National Symphony Orchestra. This week, he shares the stage with singer-songwriter­s Jacob Collier, Laufey and Dodie as they go classical. 10 p.m. (PBS) Saturday

Bruins vs. Penguins: When these two teams met in March, league-leading Boston completely dismantled Pittsburgh. Whether the Penguins can use home-ice advantage remains to be seen as they fight for a wild-card spot in the playoffs. 8 p.m. (ABC)

“House Hunters”: A young, newly-single woman decides she wants to find an old house to remodel in Minneapoli­s. But her friends think she should date, not renovate. 1 a.m. (HGTV)
