Ridgefield Writers Conference
The fifth annual Ridgefield Writers Conference will be held from September 22 to September 23 at the Ridgefield Library in Ridgefield, Connecticut. The conference features workshops in fiction and creative nonfiction, panel discussions, and opportunities to query agents. The faculty includes fiction writers Chris Belden and Hollis Seamon, and creative nonfiction writers Adele Annesi, Jamie Cat Callan, James M. Chesbro, and Peter Selgin. Nonfiction writer Carlos Eire will deliver the keynote. Participating publishing professionals include agents Diana Finch (Diana Finch Literary) and Alec Shane (Writers House); editors Colin Hosten (Woodhall Press), Eric Kampmann (Midpoint Trade Books), David LeGere (Globe Pequot Press), and Joe Pan (Brooklyn Arts Press); and book marketing consultant Brian Jud (Book Marketing Matters). The cost of the conference is $195. To apply, submit one page of prose by September 15. Applications are considered on a rolling basis; there is no application fee. Workshop space is limited.
