Dana Awards

Mark Wagenaar of Valparaiso, Indiana, won the 2016 Poetry Award for “How Does a Man Become a Hashtag” and other poems. Allison Alsup of New Orleans won the Short Fiction Award for her story “Egyptian Deities.” Misha Rai of Salt Lake City won the Novel Award for an excerpt from her novel “Blood We Did Not Spill.” They each received $1,000. The annual awards are given for works of poetry and fiction. As of this writing, the next deadline has not been set.
