POETS OUT LOUD PRIZES
Julia Bouwsma of New Portland, Maine, won the 2016–2017 Poets Out Loud Prize for her collection Midden. Henk Rossouw of Houston, Texas, won the Editor’s Prize for his collection Xamissa. They each received $1,000, and their books will be published by Fordham University Press in Fall 2018. Each winner will also be invited to read in the Poets Out Loud series at Fordham University in Fall 2018. Elisabeth Frost and Afaa Michael Weaver judged. The annual awards are given for poetry collections. The prize is on hiatus this year; the next deadline is in November 2018.
