Chelsea Jennings of Seattle and Timothy O’Keefe of Athens, Georgia, won the 2017 Juniper Prizes in Poetry. Jennings
won for her collection, Transmission Loss, and O’Keefe won for his collection, You Are the Phenomenology. Yang Huang of
San Francisco and Malinda McCollum of Charleston, South Carolina, won prizes in fiction. Huang won for her story collection, My Old Faithful, and McCollum won for her story collection The Surprising Place. They each received $1,000, and their books will be published by University of Massachusetts Press. The annual awards are given for two poetry collections and two books of fiction. (SEE DEADLINES.)
