Winning Writers

Jeff Shearer of Nashville won the 14th annual Tom Howard Prize for his poem “The Fitting.” Trent Busch of Lake Park, Georgia, won the Margaret Reid Prize for her poem “Edges of Roads.” They each received $1,500 and publication on the Winning Writers website. Soma Mei Sheng Frazier and Jim DuBois judged. The annual awards are given for a poem of any style and a poem that either rhymes or is written in a traditional style. (SEE DEADLINES.)
