(Arsenal Pulp Press). Each winner received $1,000. of Kalamazoo, Michigan, won the Betty Berzon Emerging Writer Award, given to a LGBTQ writer who has published one to two books. He received $1,500. The annual awards honor books of poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction by LGBTQ authors, or with LGBTQ themes, published in the United States or Canada during the previous year. As of this writing, the next deadline has not been set.
