The Vermont Studio Center offers 2- to 12-week residencie­s year-round to poets, fiction writers, creative nonfiction writers, and translator­s in Johnson, Vermont, a village in the northern Green Mountains. The center provides residents with a private room, studio space, and meals, and also offers craft talks, readings, and manuscript consultati­ons with visiting writers. Tuition, which includes lodging and meals, is $2,200 for two weeks or $4,250 for one month. Financial aid is available. Using only the online applicatio­n system, submit up to 10 pages of poetry or up to 15 pages of prose or translatio­n (including the original text), a curriculum vitae, and contact informatio­n for two references with a $25 applicatio­n fee.
