First United sermon topic announced

David Hammelmann will deliver his newest reflection “What Are We Here For?” at 11 a.m. Sunday at the First United Methodist Church.

Hammelmann drew inspiration for the sermon from Matthew 5:13-16.

Children will be excused to either the nursery or their church school classes following the choir’s anthem.

Coffee Hour will follow the service and all are welcome.

The Wednesday evening Bible Study group will meet at the home of Joe and Tamara Mitchell at 7:30 p.m. on May 3.

The Hmong church group that meets at the church will have a barbecue fundraiser on Sunday, May 7 following their worship service.

The Ministerial Action Committee (MAC) will meet at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 8. All those interested in the church and its activities are welcome to attend.
