Danny R. Wood

Danny, at 61 left us on May 30,2017 to join family and friends above.

He moved to Porterville at the age of 5, joking there were only about 5,000 people here, and look at us now.

He worked at Porterville Electric for 36 years until an industrial injury in 2008.

Still with us: (wife) Lynn Wood of 29-19 years (our little joke). 5 wonderful children may not be biologically his, he loved them as if they where. Kristie Mchugh, husband Matt, Heath Locke, ex-emie, Darrell Locke, loving girlfriend Shayla Moreno, Donnie Locke (someone someday), Edward Wood, adopted at age 5, +1 like a daughter Celeste Serna-martinez, 12 awesome grandchildren, Destiny, Sean, Jayson, Megan - Mchugh, Abiel, Judah, Asher, Ella Locke, Alec Serna, Kiara Locke and Dallas, Aubrey - Locke; two dogs that made him nuts at times Smokey and Pokadot; many, many friends, too many to list but you know who you are; great neighbors that myself and my wife thank-you very much.

Dr. James and staff at P.V.P.C., thank-you is not enough to show our appreciation.

To my lawyers Mr. Goldberg, David Ibarra, Nina and staff. Sorry I left you too soon.

Please NO flowers (my wife has no green thumb for them), cards, gifts, and etc.

Just once in awhile look up and say HI! I will be looking down. Until I see you again, thank-you for everything.

NOTE: At a later date the family will have a PARTY for this great man, friend, husband, dad, parent, papa called by some grandchildren, grandpa by others.
