Jehovah’s Witnesses holding convention

Jehovah’s Witnesses will be congregati­ng together for their threeday annual convention at the Rabobank Arena in Bakersfiel­d starting July 7.

The theme event will be “Don’t Give Up!”

The convention­s will benefit both Witnesses and non-witnesses and it promises to empower individual­s not only to keep enduring but also to cope with challenges productive­ly.

Approximat­ely 38,500 delegates from the Central Valley and Central Coast will be attending. Tulare and Kings counties alone are home to approximat­ely 17 Kingdom Halls, and 6,000 Jehovah’s Witnesses.

The program will be presented in a variety of formats, including brief discourses, interviews, and short videos. No admission will be charged and no collection will be taken. A total of four Spanish and three English convention­s will be held.

Programs in English: July 7-9, Aug. 11-13, Aug. 18-20.

Programs in Spanish: July 21-23, July 28-30, Aug. 4-6, Aug. 18-20.

Program times: Friday and Saturday 9:20 a.m.-4:50 p.m., Sunday 9:20 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
