Bank of the Sierra to open new branch in Fresno
Bank of the Sierra continues to stretch its reach with the announcement it is opening a new full-service branch in Fresno.
The new branch, located on North Palm Avenue, will give the bank its fifth location in the Fresno market which includes three offices in Fresno and a bank in Clovis.
“This will be an enhancement of our geography up there,” said Bank President and CEO Kevin Mcphaill.
The bank anticipates the new branch will open for business in late 2017.
“Part of the bank’s continued success can be attributed to our commitment to improve our customer experience,” Mcphaill explained. “Convenience plays a major role in the customer experience, and our future branch location on North Palm Avenue will greatly enhance these efforts in our Fresno market,” Mcphaill continued. “Community members will enjoy a wide variety of amenities including: ample parking, ATM access, easy ingress/ egress, and a thriving marketplace. We are very pleased to expand our footprint in north Fresno.
“This is a very good location for us,” he added, saying they purchased the old Valley Business Bank, which was purchased by Citizens Business Bank.
This has been a busy few years for the bank headquartered on Main Street in Porterville. In just the past few years, Bank of the Sierra has acquired Coast National Bank in San Luis Obispo, Santa Clara Valley Bank in Santa Clarita and Community Bank in Ojai. The last acquisition should finalize this fall.
“Things are going well. We’re very optimistic on our performance for the year,” he said.
