On April 12, an officer from the Porterville Police Department responded to a residence in the area of Cottage Street and Pioneer Avenue regarding a stolen vehicle. The evidence collected was analyzed and the suspect was identified as Jeffery Burrough, 34, of Porterville.
On Saturday, detectives from the PPD Narcotics Investigations Unit observed Burrough driving a vehicle in the area of Birch Street and Della Avenue. Detectives contacted Burrough and he was taken into custody. A small child was in the vehicle with him at the time of the arrest.
During their contact with Burrough, he displayed physical symptoms of being under the influence of a controlled substance and his driving privilege had been suspended.
