Woman shot in Tipton
Wounds called non-life threatening, TCSO says

The sheriff’s office reported a 22-year-old Tipton resident was shot in the 500 block of North Thompson at approximately 1 a.m. She was shot outside of an apartment complex.
The victim was immediately transported by family to seek medical attention and family members called 911 while en route. Emergency medical personnel met with the victim several miles away from the crime scene and transported her by way of ambulance to an area hospital for further evaluation and treatment. The injury was diagnosed by hospital staff as non-life threatening.
It is believed the gunshots came from the direction of a nearby apartment complex by at least one unidentified suspect. Investigators had the street closed and there were several evidence markers in the middle of the street.
It is believed an argument may have proceeded the shooting.
