‘Tid-bits’ of Health

- Sylvia Harral

W hen the egg and sperm came together and started to make us, the first thing they did was build a central nervous system and spinal cord. The next thing they built were organs that could provide circulation; bring food and nutrients in and haul away the waste products. Next, they built a communication system between the organs so they could support each other’s functions; the hormones. Then they made bones and muscles so we could have structure and go places. Then they wrapped the whole thing in skin and here we are.

Who told us how to build ourselves? Who checked in with us each day to make sure the heart valve was put in correctly or the joints contained enough synovial fluid? We even knew how and when to get ourselves out of there. We’ve all done it for thousands of years, but for some reason, today, many are led to believe that we need an expensive knife to cut us out of there. On a side note: when our little heads come through the birth canal, a strong signal is created. The signal tells the mammary glands to go to the kitchen and prepare our first meal. Without that special signal, the mammary glands can be a little confused about their kitchen duties.

If our bodies know how to make themselves in the first place, why don’t they also know how to heal themselves? The truth is they do. What we need to do is understand how our bodies were designed to function and get in line with that design. Sometimes we fall in love with things that go against the design then try to swallow enough poison and “design blockers” to get us back to health. Oops!

Our immune system is our cure. The things we do either support our cure or go against it; curse it.

Our first meal is loaded with the beneficial bacteria that lays the foundation for our immune system in our intestines; our microbiome. The baby’s microbiome gets undermined with bottle-feeding, antibiotics and vaccinations. Baby formulas don’t contain beneficial bacteria. Antibiotics kill beneficial bacteria, and vaccinations alter the immune system’s priority function. Dr. Jack Tips explained the priority function in one of his lectures. He said the immune system designates a percentage of life force to each disease it’s exposed to. When the disease viruses are introduced into the body along with a toxin, like mercury, the response is many times stronger. This causes the immune system to designate a higher percentage of its force to that disease. This leaves less force to fight other diseases that may come along.

Other ways we undermine our immune system and curse our cure is by applying the sharp knife to its primary organs; tonsils, appendix, lymph nodes and spleen. The lymph nodes are the battlegrounds where our soldiers fight the enemy. When there’s a battle going on, the lymph nodes enlarge. If we cut out the lymph nodes, there is no way to contain the enemy from spreading itself all over the place. Instead of cutting, we could ask if there is a way to support our soldiers so they can win their battles.

Our immune soldiers perform many jobs for us. They destroy foreign protein invaders such as bacteria, viruses, parasites, or undigested proteins and allergens. They work at the site of injuries to help us heal. They use their stem cells to help us grow and repair, and they eliminate byproducts of metabolism (cell poop). We can add greatly to their workload by bringing more toxins into our bodies. These toxins come in the form of pesticides, food additives, drugs (recreational and prescription), chemicals in our water and air pollution. We all know what it’s like to have our workload doubled without doubling our pay. It kind of feels like a curse.

When the body warms up, its functions speed up. Enzyme tools work faster to help get the immune system’s jobs done. The act of warming up increases circulation and helps speed the toxin elimination process. Summertime temperatures are designed to naturally help us sweat the toxins out through our skin. Can we find a mindset that takes advantage of nature’s gift? Can we acclimatize a little more to the heat? Can we use it to detoxify our body and rid ourselves of potential disease? Must we curse it with our words and fight it with expensive air conditioning then pay again for the diseases we end up with because we didn’t cleanse sufficiently?
