Friday, Sept. 1, 2017 Stolen Motor Vehicle (Big Rig)

A brown Peterbuilt big rig was reported stolen at 7:53 a.m. from the 1000 block of West Mulberry Avenue. It was allegedly taken some time overnight. The trailer was left at the scene.

Grand Theft/resisting Arrest

A citizen reported at 9:51 a.m. juveniles taking a backpack with an expensive laptop computer, Go-pro camera and headphones from the bed of his truck at Morton and Connor. Two of the juveniles were seen by officers walking near Murry Park and they fled on foot across the golf course and into a nearby neighborho­od. Officers establishe­d a perimeter and eventually captured the suspects, both 14 year old males and booked them into juvenile hall.

Burglary

Officers responded at 7:01 a.m. to Best Western, 350 West Montgomery regarding a vehicle burglary. A contractor’s work truck was burglarize­d and industrial Caterpilla­r parts were taken from within, valued at $15,000. The victim’s vehicle tool box was breached with a pry tool.

Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017 Stolen Motor Vehicle

A silver 1996 Honda Accord was reported stolen at 6:56 a.m. from the 100 block of South H Street.

Felony DUI

Officers responded at 8:46 p.m. to the 700 block of West Olive Avenue regarding a traffic collision. Upon arrival, officers contacted Justin Moore, 39, whose vehicle rear-ended another vehicle. The occupants of that vehicle sustained minor injury as a result. Moore was uninjured, but determined to be DUI, with a blood alcohol content over three times the legal limit. He was arrested for felony drunken driving.

Sunday, Sept. 3, 2017 Dui/warrant

Officers were dispatched at 10:59 a.m. to Mcdonald’s, 379 E. Olive Ave., regarding intoxicate­d subjects in a vehicle in the drive thru. The driver, Marcos Torres, 26, was arrested per DUI. Torres’ driver’s license was suspended and he did not have a required ignition interlock device. His brother, Erick Farias, 28, was arrested on a confirmed local DUI warrant. Both were booked at the Substation.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon

Officers responded at 3:51 a.m. to Sierra View Medical Center regarding three male victims who had reportedly sustained stab wounds near the Tule River in Portervill­e. Officers arrived and contacted the three victims. Each sustained laceration­s to the face as a result of being struck with brass knuckles and/or possibly a knife, but the injuries were not life-threatenin­g. Officers learned that the victims were jumped during a party at the Tule River near River Springs. The group of suspects who assaulted the victims was composed of approximat­ely 5-7 males. Officers learned that approximat­ely 50 to 60 people were present when the victims were jumped. Officers responded to the area where the assault reportedly occurred and located a crime scene. Detectives were summoned to assume the investigat­ion.
