Although Celebrate Recovery has been helping people for over 25 years and is now in every state and many countries, the Porterville Celebrate Recovery at Westfield Christian Church began nine years ago with a small group of leaders who had found freedom, joy and wholeness through the 12 steps and the eight principles of Celebrate Recovery. The program continues to provide weekly meetings from 6:30 to 9 p.m. every Tuesday.
Celebrate Recovery is honored to be one of several recovery programs in Porterville, and has the distinct privilege of offering two unique elements to the process of recovery.
First, it is a Christcentered program. Biblical principles are incorporated throughout the recovery program.
Second, it is open to anyone who struggles with any kind of hurt, hang-up or habit. Even though many are in Celebrate Recovery because of substance abuse, others are in because of their struggle with anger, depression, eating disorders, physical or sexual abuse, sexual integrity and codependency.
Celebrate Recovery is open to people of all faiths or no faith. It is open to those who voluntarily seek help with recovery and those who are required to attend recovery meetings.
