Porterville’s girls golf team lost 281-344 to Tulare Western in Thursday’s East Yosemite League match at River Island Country Club.

For Porterville, Julia Hunter shot a 54, Angela Eugene a 55, Kayla Johnson a 77, Aunika Marquez a 75 and Emily Herrera an 86.

Porterville head coach David Herrera said Hunter and Eugene were the team’s shining stars after dropping their scores into the 50s.
