First United Sermon topic announced

Pastor James Woffinden will continue his reflection series “Forgiveness as A Way of Life Part 2” at 11 a.m. Sunday at the First United Methodist Church.

Woffinden drew inspiration for the sermon from Matthew 18:21-35.

Children will be excused to either the nursery or their church school classes following the special music presentation.

Coffee Hour will follow the service and all are welcome.

This Sunday the First United Methodist Church will also be celebrating World Communion Sunday.

The church will hold the following events:

Wednesday night Bible study group will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 4 at 7:30 p.m. at the home of Joe and Tamara Mitchell.

church will hold a clothing closet from 3 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7.

church council MAC meeting will start at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 17.
