Behind Caesar were three Corcoran runners followed by Strathmore senior Dagny Mcintosh (21:15) in fifth place.

“Dagny is really good for the young ladies,” Gonzalez said. “She’s improved throughout the last four years. She’s been consistent every year, she’s been one of the [strongest] runners in the league. I believe she’s the fourth runner in the league.”

Placing sixth was LHS sophomore Nancy Vasquez (21:20.4) while LHS junior Jeanette Ramirez (22:06.9) and GHHS junior Elizabeth Hernandez (22:11.6) finished in ninth and 10th place, respective­ly.

Corcoran sophomore Vicente Rojas (16:09.3) and senior Christian Gonzlaez (16:16.9) took first and second in the boys 5K race to beat out LHS junior Victor Cisneros (16:26.7) who finished third after placing first in the league’s first meet on Sept. 13.

Granite Hills senior Jonah Flores (16:35.6) dropped over a minute off his time, but once again finished in sixth place for the Grizzlies.

Lindsay rounded out the 10th, 11th and 12th place spots with finishes from junior Cristobal Vasquez (17:43.3), sophomore Lionel Aguayo (17:53.1) and junior Rafael Hurtado (17:59.5), respective­ly. Strathmore’s highest finish was from sophomore Ivan Cid (19:40.5) in 25th place.

All three teams are set to compete in the last ESL mini meet on Oct. 18 at Woodlake before the ESL championsh­ip on Nov. 8 in Hanford.
