Museum Casino Bus trip is Tuesday Oct. 24

The Portervill­e Historical Museum is having a Casino Bus trip to the Eagle Mountain Casino on Tuesday, Oct. 24. After this trip, the museum has one more casino trip scheduled on Nov. 28. Each trip is packed with fun and games, along with free items.

Happy hour at Giovanni’s Pizzeria is from 5 to 6 p.m., with drinks priced at $1 each. A casino trip ticket is required in order to get the special price drinks. The bus has two picks up locations, one at Giovanni’s Pizzeria at 45 N. Second St. The second is the Casino Parking Lot Number 4 on Highway 190 at Avenue 248. The buses head up to the casino at 6 p.m. and feature games that are played on the bus to pass the time. People can drive themselves up to the Casino, but they must sign in and have a ticket.

Cost for the casino trip is $10 per person and includes the bus trip, games on the bus, the museum-only slot tournament, a food voucher, and $25 Summit Club Card credit to use for gambling. The trip lasts from 6 to 10 p.m. A valid identifica­tion card is needed if a person does not already have a Summit Club Card.

All monies are used to help support the Portervill­e Historical Museum and its continuing mission to preserve the past for future generation­s. The museum is located in the old Southern Pacific passenger depot that was built in 1913 and is located at 257 N. D St. in Portervill­e. The museum has been operating since 1965 and is dedicated to the collection, preservati­on, display, and teaching of local history.
