Rose Mary Harness Pitts

Rose Mary Harness Pitts, passed away of cancer while residing with her daughter, Donetta Schroeder in Tustin, California. She was born on February 6, 1935 in Stella, Missouri. She was 82.

Rose Mary had a strong faith in her savior Jesus, and is now safely at home in heaven. Rose Mary was born to Walter William Harness Sr. and Mary Opal Mcguire. The Harness family moved from Missouri in 1947 and settled in Porterville, California.

Rose Mary is survived by her 6 siblings: James Harold (& Suzie) Harness, Verna Jean Best, Bobby Carrol (& Gloria) Harness, Donna Mae Rauschl, Carl Richard (& Barbara) Harness and Walter William (Willy) Harness Jr. Rose Mary was married to Charles Guinn, 1954-1961, 3 children: Oma Deon Lane, Donetta Sue (& John) Schroeder & Drusilla Kae (& Randy) Vandemark. Later she married Benjamin Pitts until his passing, 1980-1994. Mary was blessed with 10 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren.

A viewing will be held at Myers Chapel on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon. A graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Porterville on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at 1:00 PM, where she will be laid to rest with Benjamin. A Reception will follow at First Southern Baptist Church, 1641 W. Henderson, Porterville, CA. A memorial service in Orange County will be announced at a later.
