Lon David Taylor

It is with great sadness that the family of Lon David Taylor, age 60 of Fairview, Wyoming, informs us that he passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2017 at his home with his daughter and best friend Emily Taylor by his side.

Lon was born in Fresno, California on June 29, 1957 to T.R. and Kay Taylor, the third of four children, and grew up in Dunlap and Porterville, California. He moved to Wyoming in 1990 where he remained. In 1993 he gained three step-daughters whom he loved until his last day. In 1994 his only biological child, Emily Taylor, was born. They were inseparable and their love and respect for each other will last for the rest of time. He was a meticulous machinist who could “weld the break of day and fix the crack of dawn.” He took great pride in everything that he did, including taking care of his beautiful home and yard.

Lon is survived by his daughter, Emily Taylor of Wyoming, his parents, Don and Kay Anderson, his brother and wife, Robin and Pam Taylor, his sister and husband, Donna Lynne and Gary Foster of California, his step-brothers and wives, Darren and Julie Anderson of N. Carolina and Kevin and Wendi Anderson of California, and his step-sister and husband, Cymberly and Stephan Porter of Texas. He is also survived by his three step-daughters, Caitlyn Buckingham and Samantha Buckingham of Nevada, Brittany Dayley of Colorado and his five grandchildren. He is predeceased by his father Thomas Rex Taylor and his sister Patricia Taylor.

Lon will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

At his request, Lon’s funeral services will be held at a later date in Dunlap, California.
