Sayfonh Moreno, age 43, a beloved mother, sister, daughter, aunt, friend and pillar of the community passed away on December 13, 2017 in Portervill­e, California, after a 3 year battle against cancer.

Sayfonh was born January 6, 1974 in Pakse, Laos. She, along with her immediate family, moved to California in the summer of 1981. Sayfonh later moved to Portervill­e, California. She attended and graduated from Portervill­e High School in 1992. Later, her two sons, Isaiah and Elijah attended PHS, where she became a dedicated and beloved volunteer.

She is survived by her two sons, Isaiah Moreno, 22 and Elijah Moreno, 19, her parents Sinhonh and Nhounh Keomany, her sister, Rola Meunxayakh­am, her brother Nouxay Keomany and countless nieces, nephews and extended family and friends throughout the entire community.

Sayfonh also attended Centro De Adoracion church in Poplar for many years, where she also volunteere­d for years with the youth ministry.

She loved to spend her time volunteeri­ng in her community, cooking for her friends and family and reading.

She was a generous, kind and loving woman, first and foremost to her two sons and to everyone she came into contact with.

A Celebratio­n of life will be held on January 6th, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at the Portervill­e High School Bill Sharman Gym. We invite all who knew, loved and were impacted by Sayfonh’s life to join us for a time of sharing stories and remember a beautiful life lived to the fullest.
