Collision sends one to trauma center

The driver of a car involved in a two-car collision was taken to a local trauma center Thursday afternoon in Porterville and being treated for injuries, the Porterville Police Department reported.

The accident occurred at the intersection of West North Grand and North Main Street shortly before 3 p.m. The names of who was involved or the exact details of the incident were not available prior to publication.

A portion of the road was closed to traffic while emergency personnel attended to the injured.
