The Lindsay City Council granted Tuesday a temporary use permit to Larry Twitty to operate a hot dog stand in the northern area of the property located at 240 N. Mt. Vernon in Lindsay.

Assistant City Planner Brian Spaunhurst said the duration of the temporary use would be on Wednesdays and Thursdays from Feb. 14 to Aug. 16. Spaunhurst said the hours of operation would be between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. daily.

Spaunhurst said the hot dog stand would be located consistent with the proposed site plan and would not obstruct clear driveway accesses. He said all necessary licenses and permits would be secured prior to operation. He noted that restroom access will be provided to employees on site.

As far as the food, Spaunhurst said the preparation and sale of any food on site would be certified by the Tulare County Health Department. He said food will not be sold without a certificate.
