Other Matters Before Porterville City Council
Will receive a presentation related to Project Homeless Connect.
Will receive a presentation related to Leadership Porterville — Drought Demonstration Garden.
Will consider approving staff’s recommended Plans and Project Manual for the project consisting of the removal and replacement of asphalt on Orange Avenue from Main Street to Plano Street and Henderson Avenue from Newcomb Street to Patsy Street, and the installation of new ADA ramps, alley approaches, and upgrading the traffic signals at Main and Orange and at Orange and Wallace; authorization to negotiate construction surveying services; and authorization to appropriate $465,582.70 from Local Transportation Funds to fully fund the project.
Will consider approval to augment the projects authorized funds by $31,000, and authorizing the City Engineer to sign the SCE applications and issue payment in the amount of $7,340.65.
Will consider approval to negotiate service agreements for project specific scope of services from Air Quality Compliance Solutions for six projects, and authorizing the execution of said agreements.
Will consider approval of a resolution accepting water infrastructure and requiring real property benefitted by the installation to pay proper proportional share of the expense before being permitted to connect to the City’s water system.
Will consider approval of a resolution for the execution of the certifications and assurances for the California State of Good Repair Program, and authorization for staff to obtain written price quotations for the purchase of a battery-electric paratransit van.
Will consider approval of a resolution approving application for State Off-highway Vehicle Grant Funds.
Will consider approval of a resolution authorizing the filing of applications with the Federal Transit Administration (FTA).
Will consider approval to legally bind the City of Porterville as a Low Carbon Fuel Standard Reporting Party and designate Primary Account Administrators.
Will hold a public hearing during which it will consider adopting the City’s 2015 Urban Water Management Plan and approving t’s submittal to the Department of Water Resources, the California State Library, and Tulare County.
Will consider a proposed Spring Expressions Chalk Art Project to take place at the Iris Festival and an appropriation of $350 for project supplies.
Will consider approval of a Legal Services Agreement with Mccormick, Kabot, Jenner & Lew and Julia M. Lew for a term of three years, commencing March 1, 2018; and providing a $5 per hour increase from the prior contract in the hourly rate of pay for services provided by attorneys, law clerks, and paralegals.
Will consider the formation of Lighting and/or Special Benefit Districts.
Will consider a Resolution of Support for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).
Will consider the continuance of the Declaration of Local Emergency.
