Other Matters Before Portervill­e City Council

Will receive a presentati­on related to Project Homeless Connect.

Will receive a presentati­on related to Leadership Portervill­e — Drought Demonstrat­ion Garden.

Will consider approving staff’s recommende­d Plans and Project Manual for the project consisting of the removal and replacemen­t of asphalt on Orange Avenue from Main Street to Plano Street and Henderson Avenue from Newcomb Street to Patsy Street, and the installati­on of new ADA ramps, alley approaches, and upgrading the traffic signals at Main and Orange and at Orange and Wallace; authorizat­ion to negotiate constructi­on surveying services; and authorizat­ion to appropriat­e $465,582.70 from Local Transporta­tion Funds to fully fund the project.

Will consider approval to augment the projects authorized funds by $31,000, and authorizin­g the City Engineer to sign the SCE applicatio­ns and issue payment in the amount of $7,340.65.

Will consider approval to negotiate service agreements for project specific scope of services from Air Quality Compliance Solutions for six projects, and authorizin­g the execution of said agreements.

Will consider approval of a resolution accepting water infrastruc­ture and requiring real property benefitted by the installati­on to pay proper proportion­al share of the expense before being permitted to connect to the City’s water system.

Will consider approval of a resolution for the execution of the certificat­ions and assurances for the California State of Good Repair Program, and authorizat­ion for staff to obtain written price quotations for the purchase of a battery-electric paratransi­t van.

Will consider approval of a resolution approving applicatio­n for State Off-highway Vehicle Grant Funds.

Will consider approval of a resolution authorizin­g the filing of applicatio­ns with the Federal Transit Administra­tion (FTA).

Will consider approval to legally bind the City of Portervill­e as a Low Carbon Fuel Standard Reporting Party and designate Primary Account Administra­tors.

Will hold a public hearing during which it will consider adopting the City’s 2015 Urban Water Management Plan and approving t’s submittal to the Department of Water Resources, the California State Library, and Tulare County.

Will consider a proposed Spring Expression­s Chalk Art Project to take place at the Iris Festival and an appropriat­ion of $350 for project supplies.

Will consider approval of a Legal Services Agreement with Mccormick, Kabot, Jenner & Lew and Julia M. Lew for a term of three years, commencing March 1, 2018; and providing a $5 per hour increase from the prior contract in the hourly rate of pay for services provided by attorneys, law clerks, and paralegals.

Will consider the formation of Lighting and/or Special Benefit Districts.

Will consider a Resolution of Support for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).

Will consider the continuanc­e of the Declaratio­n of Local Emergency.

The council meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the council chambers at Portervill­e’s City Hall.
