Goldie M. Brown passed away at the age of 94 on Fridayi February 23I 2018 in Visaliai California. She was born December 16I 1923 in Medfordi Oregon to Zed Robert and Cora C. Mckinney. She lived most of her life in Portervillei Ca. She graduated from Coburgi Oregon high school.
She was a member of Springville VFW Post 9499 auxiliaryi 4-H leader for Success Valley 4-HI originating member of Success Gymkhana and a member of the Tulare County Cattlewomen. She worked the office at the Springville Rodeo for many years and the VFW snow cone booth. Herb and Goldie Brown were the first couple honored as Springville Rodeo Grand Marshalls in 1986. She drove bus for Citrus South Tule school for 16 yearsi worked at the Porterville Children’s center and retired from Baird & Neece packing house.
Goldie is survived by her children: Greg Brown of Powell Buttei Oregoni Sandra Childers (Jimmy) of Duranti Oklahoma and Jowayne Lyons (Steve) of Visaliai CA: 8 Grandchildren: Chad (Denys) Browni Deanna (Randy) Thompsoni Traci (Scott) Potteri Calli (Virgil) Fanellii Jason (Molly) Childersi Jill (Joe) Jamesoni Cory (Matt) Chase and Clay (Shelly) Lyons. 12 great grandchildreni another due in May and 1 greati great grandson. Her sisters: Wilma Smith and Marjorie Mathisi both of Oregon
Goldie was preceded in death by her husband of 54 yearsi Herbert L. Brown in 2000I her parentsi sisteri Corrine Napier and brotheri Robert Mckinney.
She has left a legacy with her 94 years here on earthi the people she has meti the friends she had and the family she loved. She will truly be missed.
